December 9, 2019

We had a terrific time on our trip to Auburn University!  Making snow and catapults were so much fun! I think I see some future engineers sitting in our class!  :)  Thank you to the parents that went with us!  I really appreciate you!!

We've got lots left to do in the next two weeks.  We have the Polar Express on Friday!  This is always a great time!  Don't forget to wear your pajamas that day!

We will read  one more story before the break and test on it December 19th.  We will also have the spelling test that goes with this story.  We will not have another grammar test.  Instead, we will continue to work on our sentences and paragraph writing.

Our test on commas will be this Thursday, Dec. 12th.

Thank you for supporting our SGA with their community outreach projects!!

We will have a fact drill tomorrow.  Please see the sheet in your child's binder to study for that.  Also, we will have one last test next week at Lesson 65, a fact drill and written assessment. These will be the last grades before they are averaged for the nine weeks.

We will be taking the STAR test next week.  I am so looking forward to seeing the growth they have made this nine weeks!! Also, remember the last day to take an AR test will be on Dec. 19th!  Keep encouraging them to read!  Several kids are very close to reaching their goal!!  A BIG SHOUT OUT to Jack, Jackson, Addi, Gorman, and Hendrix for already making their AR goal! Congratulations on your hard work!!

Our Christmas party will be on Friday, December 20th.  More news on this later!

Go Chiefs!
Mrs. Kim
