This week we will read, "Where's the Honey, Honey?" and will test on it Friday. It's an interesting story of how animals and humans help each other.
In grammar, we will begin a study of pronouns (singular, plural, and reflexive). Our test will be on March 5th.
In spelling, we are studying long o and u words as well as some words that have the prefixes un- and dis-. This will help us with word attack skills and showing how to break a word into smaller sections, or chunks, to sound out and read. Our test will be on Friday.
We are continuing our study of animals in social science. We will finish up our penguin books this week so we can begin our research on the animal of choice for our research projects. These projects are due before we get out for spring break. We will do them at school and present them to the class!! The trip to the Pine Mountain Zoo will be our culminating activity. We are so excited!!!!
Please encourage your child to read AR so that they can meet their AR goal. We want all of them to meet their goal!
